As a Senior at the International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team, you will be helping international and multinational companies align their global tax position with their business strategy in order to maintain competitive advantage and provide shareholder value.The opportunityWe are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious, enthusiastic, and hard-working professional, who is looking for a challenging career move, to join our ITTS team as a Senior.Key responsibilitiesEffectively contribute to the implementation, improvement, and development of technical projects related to International Tax and Transaction Services;Provide tax advice and planning services to a portfolio of projects for multinational companies;Deliver projects related to international services;Accompany executives in client meetings or in meetings with the tax authorities and have client contacts autonomously to obtain the right information to realize the tasks;Participate in preparing proposals and assist with the preparation of external publications or seminars;Gain a good understanding of the Portugal income tax aspects relevant in an international context;Stay up-to-date regarding market changes and develop a broader knowledge around your client portfolio;Maintain long-term collaborative and profitable relationships with your clients and proactively identify and inform of possible new missions or opportunities in the existing portfolio;Proactively communicate and collaborate with your colleagues of the team and supervise the work (quality and workload) of juniors and escalate observations to the executive;Actively participate in the training and coaching sessions of your development plan and be responsible for the development of your own technical knowledge.Skills and attributes for successTechnical rigor and attention to detail;High level of dynamism and business acumen;Strong problem-solving skills;Critical sense;Efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment;A strong work ethic;Professional responsibility, confidentiality, and integrity;Dedicated, innovative, resourceful, and able to work under pressure;Team player and critical thinker;Forward thinker and self-starter;Team management.To qualify for the role, the candidate must haveAcademic Degree in Economics, Law, Tax, Accounting, or similar financial fields of studies;At least 3 years of professional experience in International Tax, mainly in a consulting environment;Willingness to focus on International law and international taxation;Ability to work in multicultural projects and environments;Full English proficiency;Availability to work in Portugal and/or abroad;Availability to attend EY's international tax and transaction courses/events.What we look forHighly motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry.
