We know that when our people are rewarded, recognized, and rejuvenated, we win as a team.Role OverviewWe are looking for a Data Scientist who will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support our Prioritization and Triage engine. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process improvements, and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data analysis methods and data science libraries to build and implement new models.ResponsibilitiesWork with cross-functional teams to identify and solve cybersecurity problems using machine-learning algorithms.Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.Research and develop new data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.Propose solutions and strategies to enhance prioritization and triage systems.Collaborate with team members, including software engineers, data scientists, product managers to design and implement new and improved solutions.Communicate results and insights, both verbally and written (including visual graphics), in a clear and concise manner to a non-technical audience.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.Strong experience using machine learning framework and libraries (Scikit-Learn, Metaflow, Sagemaker).Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain.Understanding of cyber security principles and attack vectors is a plus.Minimum of 2 years of writing production-grade code experience to ensure good programming practices. Proficiency in at least one of the programming languages such as Python, Java, GoLang. Experience with big data technology (Spark) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is desirable.Proficiency in Python is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of data science experience.Proficient in creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, natural language processing, decision trees, neural networks, etc. and knowledge of their real-world advantages/drawbacks.Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, A/B testing, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting.Work EnvironmentWe are a remote first team and are geographically distributed across the US, Canada, and UK - we utilize tools to facilitate communication and collaboration like Slack, Google Meet, Google Docs, Miro, and Lucid Charts.
