Job Purpose
The job holder will be responsible to support General Accounting, VAT (Value Added Tax) and Corporate Tax functions in line with the strategic objectives of the company to ensure financial control and profitability for the business.
Key Accountabilities
Support with VAT compliance, including registrations, returns, audits, and assessments, ensuring the company adheres to all tax regulations to minimize tax risks and maximize compliance.
Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for on-time filing with authorities for accurate VAT records.
Track VAT refund submissions and documentation, recovering any eligible VAT credits to maximize cash flow.
Conduct ad-hoc projects to identify and mitigate VAT risks, safeguarding the company's financial position and minimizing potential liabilities.
Assist with ensuring corporate tax compliance through proper accounting treatment, minimizing potential tax liabilities.
Prepare monthly financial accounts, balance sheets, management reports, identifying any discrepancies or areas requiring clarification to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Reconcile intercompany and related party transactions, maintaining accurate balances between entities.
Support internal/external audits by providing relevant information, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
Review financial information to ensure compliance with company policies and control practices, maintaining financial integrity.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/ Engineering/ Real Estate Development;
Master's degree Qualified ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) / CPA (Certified Public Accountant)/ ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
In-depth knowledge of VAT and UAE Corporate Tax laws and procedures
Minimum of 3-5 years experience working with Financial Reporting, tools and Oracle system
Proficiency in Ms. Office suite and Oracle financial software
Strong knowledge of taxation
