Founded by highly respected Silicon Valley veterans - with its design centers established in Santa Clara, California. / Hyderabad Role Overview: As the Senior Manager of Technical Program Management, you will be responsible for the execution of complex technical programs within the VLSI, memory, and data center domains. You will lead cross-functional teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial concept through design, validation, and production. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, operations, and external stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest quality. This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and program management expertise in the semiconductor and data center industries. Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Execution:
- Lead and manage multiple complex, large-scale programs in the VLSI, memory, and data center space, ensuring alignment between cross-functional teams.
- Define program goals, scope, deliverables, schedules, and success metrics.
- Drive the execution of programs from concept to production, ensuring that all milestones are met on time, and that any issues or risks are mitigated early.
- Manage the full product development lifecycle, including architecture, design, prototyping, validation, and production readiness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering teams (e.g., VLSI design, memory systems, firmware, and hardware architecture) to ensure technical alignment across the program.
- Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to define product requirements and ensure that technical solutions meet market needs.
- Partner with manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth transitions from development to production.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and customers to manage communication, expectations, and program updates.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving:
- Identify and manage program risks proactively, ensuring that issues are addressed before they impact schedules or quality.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans for technical, resource, and schedule risks.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving, ensuring that technical challenges are resolved in a timely manner.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status, including progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders, both internal and external, ensuring transparency across all levels of the organization.
- Present technical program reviews to executive management, summarizing risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Resource Management & Team Building:
- Build and Lead a team of technical program managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.
- Work with HR and engineering leadership to allocate resources efficiently across programs and manage headcount planning.
- Develop and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the program management team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in program management within the semiconductor, VLSI, memory, or data center domains.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex programs, from initial concept through production, in a hardware/semiconductor environment.
- Strong technical background in VLSI design, memory architecture, or data center infrastructure.
- Excellent knowledge of product development lifecycle in semiconductor/VLSI programs, including design, validation, tape-out, and post-silicon processes.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams (hardware, software, firmware, validation, and operations).
- Strong understanding of memory technologies (e.g., DRAM, NAND, NVMe), and data center architectures (compute, storage, networking).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Confluence).
- Experience working with data center solutions and knowledge of cloud infrastructure and storage systems.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications.
- Experience working in start-up environments or fast-paced technology companies.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in parallel, ensuring alignment across the organization.
