Legal Counsel - Dutch and English

Applied Medical might be the next step in your career!We are seeking a commercial Legal Counsel with an interest in asset management, real estate, energy congestion and compliance.In this exciting and varied role, you will have the opportunity to deal with a vast breadth of legal areas relevant to our Dutch organization, including our office, manufacturing, and sterilization facilities and our European field team. You will join a collaborative working culture with the highest moral integrity, providing legal advice to multiple internal clients, particularly our Operations, and Finance teams.You will be responsible for communicating complex legal concepts to non-legal personnel, inspiring confidence at all levels. Success in this role requires excellent judgment, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a structured approach to project management.This position is based in our European Headquarters in Amersfoort (NL) and reports to the Senior Legal Counsel who oversees the European Legal Department.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advice on a range of legal areas, with a focus on real estate, energy transition, procurement, asset management and compliance.Draft and review national and international agreements in the framework of real estate and procurement.Manage legal disputes, including dealing with external parties involved in such disputes.Stay abreast of the latest legislative developments in your areas of expertise.Analyze and advise on legislative developments that may affect the company, and assist with the implementation of such changes within the business.Draft, review and provide advice on company policies and procedures, with focus on compliance.Provide training and guidance to team members on legal topics.RequirementsUniversity Law degree (LL.M.)Familiar with Dutch employment law.3-5 years of experience, as in-house legal counsel or external lawyer.Excellent Dutch and English, both written and spoken.Ability to communicate complex issues and legal concepts to non-lawyers.Further Skills RequiredExcellent project management skills, with demonstrated ability to support multiple internal clients and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Ability to adapt to different challenges and approach tasks with enthusiasm.Demonstrated ability to engage in a highly collaborative and proactive culture, show flexibility, and inspire confidence at all levels.Excellent judgment, interpersonal and negotiation skills.Experience in working in an international working environment.We OfferAn international working environment, fueled by respect and a healthy work-life balance tailored to the business and team member's needs.27 paid vacation days (based on fulltime contract) with option to purchase five additional days.Commuting allowance of €0,23/km or an NS Business card subscription.A wide variety of internal trainings and development possibilities and a tuition program for external trainings.The opportunity to pro-actively work on your vitality and fitness.State-of-the-art facilities, including green areas, in-house restaurant and gym.This is mainly an on-site role with hybrid options.Additional benefits, such as:Attractive pension scheme (your contribution at 4%, ours at 12%).€50 net monthly health insurance contribution.Two (paid) days per year dedicated to volunteering activities.Several fun company events and meaningful initiatives organized throughout the year.At Applied Medical, we are committed to make a meaningful, positive difference, each and every day.
