Primary Purpose: The QA Manager will be responsible for Quality Assurance for all products (inward & outward) and ensure the continuous kit assembling and distribution of high-quality school supplies, including uniforms, books, stationery, and assembled kits. This role will ensure that all processes meet required quality standards and that any issues are promptly identified and addressed. Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Assurance process specifically tailored to school supplies, including uniforms, books, stationery, and student essential kits, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits of stock received, warehouse processes, products, and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards for school supplies. Implement corrective actions as necessary. Manage Inventory and Stock levels at warehouse.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency for school supplies, including the assembly of kits. Implement best practices and lean methodologies.
- Customer Requirements: Ensure that all school supplies, such as uniforms, books, stationery, and assembled kits, meet or exceed customer specifications. Liaise with customers to address quality concerns and implement solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of QA processes, inspections, and audits. Prepare and present quality reports to management.
- Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that incoming school supplies meet quality standards. Conduct supplier audits and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Training: Develop and conduct training programs for employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices specific to school supplies.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all QA activities comply with health and safety regulations. Promote a safe working environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree and experience in Quality Management, Blue collared workforce administration. Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in a warehouse environment handling school supplies such as uniforms, books, stationery, and student essential kits. Experience in checking Quality of fabric or schools supplies such as bags, shoes, stationary etc. will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for school supplies.
- Skills: Excellent managerial skills, strong analytical and problem solving abilities, Effective communication skills, Proficiency in Quality Management Software, SAP and tools, Attention to detail and exposure to quality assurance processes, Metrics driven process improvement.
