Job Description

Provides technical assistance to fire team/project engineers and other professionals in interpreting and complying with fire codes and standards; review all company projects and modifications to provide any fire protection recommendations.

Responds to all fire/emergency alarms in an expedient/efficient manner and provides any fire protection technical information to Fire Protection Superintendent or Incident Commander.

Evaluates process engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and other documentation for compliance with fire codes, standards, and regulations.

Conducts fire risk assessments and develops contingency plans to prevent fire and mitigate any risk.

Serves as Center of Expertise representative during concept development; controls life safety design during initial phases of facility design and advises on concepts/designs regarding fire protection engineering.

Develops, conducts, and participates in a variety of in-house training programs for the Fire Protection section personnel on the latest fire protection standards.

Conducts audits/inspections/tests to verify the readiness of all fire protection unit equipment/vehicles and firefighting/protection equipment.

Assists in developing drill scenarios based on fire risk assessments.

Recommends and develops any required projects for the capital budget to improve fire protection in the company.

Develops and updates the fixed fire equipment and the fire protection system testing procedures as per national/international standards. Provides any training or technical assistance to complete the testing programs.

Participates in accident investigations specifically for fire accidents and ensures required technical recurring is maintained according to fire protection standards.

Responsible for following up on all fire protection projects and ensuring complete compliance with standards and codes.

Assists in developing the standard operating procedure for Fire Protection Section activities.

Assists in developing and updating the emergency manual and pre-plans.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Fire Protection Manager.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent along with certification in Fire safety.

Must be Jordanian.

Male only.

Excellent user of MS Office.

Ability to handle high flow work.

English business reading & writing.

High level of accuracy.
