Job description Indian Police Foundation Project Name : Internal Police Reforms Post : State Supervisor, Rajasthan Location : Jaipur, Rajasthan Job Description Indian Police Foundation invites application for the position of a State Supervisor at Jaipur location This is a temporary position for one year, extendable up to 3 years based in Jaipur with travel across India
- Retired police officer (retired as ADGP/ IGP/DIG/SP/Addl SP with minimum 10 - 15 years of experience of supervision of police stations.
- Acquaintance with Rajasthan State Police Manual and criminal laws, circulars from MHA/State Govt., relevant SC judgements, NHRC directives etc.
- Knowledge about recommendations of various police commissions (NPC, ARC, state police commissions, others) is desirable
- Good health-Officer will be required to visit 15 police stations every month and submit reports.
- To attend office regularly
- Good coordination capacity (meetings with SPs/CPs, State Nodal officer, Trainers, Project Directorate)
- Working knowledge of computer
- Good command over English and loca l language
- Rs 75,000/- per month with 5% annual increment
- Vehicle/taxi for visiting police stations, meeting officials (by DGP)
- Office in Police Hqrs. /Police Academy (as decided by DGP)
- Secretarial assistance
- Economy Air fare for visiting Delhi/ other States
- Boarding/Lodging in police mess/guest house, whenever on tour
- Establishment of PMU and selection of staff;
- Conduct of meetings in States with civil societ y, NGOs, lawyers , media to understand public grievances and expectations
- Conduct of baseline evaluation and public perception survey in selected Police Stations in 2 districts
- Participation in meetings/workshops with experts for finalising the project recommendations
- Preparation of Change Manual and its translation
- Identification of trainers, their briefing and preparation of training material -bilingual. Supervision of Training of Police staff of 15 police stations (on Change manual and Citizen centric policing and soft skills) during the Pilot and main phase
- Hand holding, briefing and monitoring visits to all 15 police stations every month during pilot (one day/Police Station)
- Accompanying central teams, IPF senior officers during their visits to States
- Attending/holding meetings with State Nodal officer, CPs/SPs regularly.
- Supervision over data collection and citizen feedback from Police Sations.
- Compilation and sending of monthly reports to State Nodal officer and Project Directorate
- Assisting in evaluation of Pilot project in 15 police stations
- Assisting in preparation of Pilot project report
- Preparation of revised change manual and revised bilingual training material
- Base line evaluation and citizen perception survey in additional 15 Police Stations/state during main phase
- Visit to all 30 police stations, every 7/8 weeks for hand holding, monitoring, briefing during main project implementation (one day per Police Station)
- Briefing/assisting for 3rd party independent evaluation for the main project
- Data compilation and Preparation of Main Project report
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time
