Responsibilities:

1. Handle site security incidents, escalations or any other security related issues.
2. Provide after-hours on-call management support and participate in emergent, large scale event response when needed.
3. Participate in re-occurring data center security audits and reviews.
4. Execute established compliance processes with AWS policies, standards, guidelines and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
5. Provide input on, and may develop security methodologies, policies and procedures.
6. Write reports and communicate with management on the status of DC security operations.
7. Oversee new security construction or retrofit projects.
8. Manage the security P&L for assigned site(s), assist management with financial analysis and contribute to financial decisions for security requirements.
9. Collaborate with other teams to protect AWS Data Center personnel, information and assets.
10. Direct and manage contract guard force to run daily data center operations.

Key job responsibilities

1. Provide a safe and secure environment for our people, assets and customer data.
2. Physical Security of our Data center (DC) sites and protecting the integrity of all Red Medias.
3. Security access control of our DC sites.
4. Responding to security incidents.
5. Writing reports on security incidents, system anomalies, and other security-related matters.
6. Testing and maintaining security systems, such as alarms, security devices, and cameras.
7. Training employees on data center security procedures.
8. Identifying and assessing potential security risks to the data center.
9. Developing and implementing plans to mitigate security risks.
10. Promoting security awareness among employees and visitors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in security or related fields; i.e., compliance, logistics, transportation, facilities among others.
2. 4+ years of commercial or industrial work experience. Experience in using data and metrics to improve processes and/or customer satisfaction.
3. Must be prepared and have the ability to work and travel to Data Centers in the Cluster and abroad.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems.
2. Proven track record and experience in management of vendors.
3. Has used investigation techniques to deep dive on events.
4. Security Industry Qualifications/Certification.
5. English verbal and written communication skills.
