We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager (Resource Recovery) to join our Infrastructure Team at NPDC. As the Contracts Manager (Resource Recovery), you will be responsible for overseeing and managing contracts related to waste management services. You will play a key role in administering contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and driving service delivery excellence. You will also focus on optimizing cost efficiency and sustainability in the council's waste management operations.- Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation
- Oversee the implementation of contract terms and ensure all parties adhere to agreed conditions and monitor contract performance
- Oversee customer requests to ensure a customer focused service is provided to the community
- Ensure effective contractor management processes and relationships are maintained with key contractors
- Track and report on key performance indicators related to waste management contracts
- Support the Infrastructure team in operational delivery work and provide back up for other Contracts Managers
- Tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline e.g. Business Administration; Contract Management; Environmental Science, or a related field
- Experience in waste management and minimisation or a related field is required
- Familiar with industry standards and specifications
- Experience in data analysis and management including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel would be an advantage
