As a Senior Business Development Manager at Temper, you will lead the full sales cycle, focusing on one or two of our primary verticals: logistics, hospitality, facility, or retail.

Before engaging with potential clients, you will conduct thorough research on market trends, buyer/user personas, company profiles, and regional coverage. Your goal will be to onboard new customers, ensure their long-term success, and optimize their engagement within our marketplace. Leveraging your extensive commercial expertise, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the business development team.

In the Business Development team, our challenge is to continuously drive company growth by acquiring new clients and exceeding our sales targets. The diversity of prospects across various verticals makes the role dynamic and multifaceted. In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on Temper's growth trajectory. The team

The BD team consists of seven dynamic and dedicated colleagues. Four of them serve as proactive Business Development Managers, actively reaching out to potential new clients to grow our customer base. We also have two team members focusing on handling inbound leads and another who specializes in reactivating past clients to bring them back on board.

Our team culture is informal and collaborative, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy team activities and have fun together. At the same time, we hold each other accountable, especially during our Monday morning meetings where we set ambitious goals and track progress towards hitting our targets.

What makes you a great fit

Over 5 years of relevant experience in a SaaS or marketplace environment, with a background as a Business Development Manager or Account Executive, ideally within logistics, hospitality, facility management, or retail sectors.

Proven expertise in outbound sales, with a strong grasp of driving lead generation and building pipelines.

In-depth knowledge of key sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)IC, SPICED, or Challenger Sales.

Strong ability to manage pipeline and prospecting activities with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

Skilled at understanding broader business objectives, identifying key decision-makers, crafting tailored solutions, and effectively navigating complex sales scenarios.

Proficient in leveraging data from various systems to shape and optimize sales strategies.

Proficient in Dutch and English language, both written and spoken.

Bonus points if you have

Proven experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Salesloft, and/or Looker.

A well-established network within one of our key verticals.
