Executive - Land Transport, Sales & Solution Design
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for growing the revenue and GP for the Land team. This candidate must have excellent communication and client management skills in order to maintain positive client relations. This candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This candidate must be a team player to ensure good working cooperation between the different Business units locally and regionally. The primary responsibility is to look for opportunities in the Malaysia market. These opportunities would be accounts that are not within the KAM purview. The candidate would do the “hunting” for the customers who require Land solutions. The candidate would present Schenker’s capabilities, logistics solutions for new customers. The candidate will also support on RFQ or adhoc queries from other sales channels. Specific Accountabilities- Organize & execute all sales-related activities for Land Transport product.
- Hunt for new sales as well as develop organic growth of existing customers.
- Always maintain a healthy pipeline while ensuring sustainable growth of Field Sales customers in terms of volumes, revenues and GP.
- Explore and progressively manage new business opportunities and foster cross-selling activities within the country.
- Build a strong client relationship to ensure account growth & retainment of existing customer base.
- Maintain data integrity in CRM tool through regular & accurate updates.
- Development of Sales channel strategy according to the size of the customers (Field Sales, Indoor Sales & Sales Support) in alignment with the country CCO.
- Ensure cost-efficient sales support activities focusing on customer-facing activities.
- Define target lists in collaboration with Product Management.
- Evaluate and support assessment of 'winnability' of enquiries and RFQs.
- Perform on-site analysis of customer requirements if required.
- Appreciation of costs of operations, capital spend and effective use of company standard cost models.
- Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face and respond promptly to internal or external customer inquiries.
- Create the solutions input required for the concept presentation for RFQ responses and customer presentations.
- Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries.
- Present solutions to prospective and existing customers.
- Able to work with internal stakeholders to align the credit terms, legal framework within the stipulated time to ensure that the contract can be signed off by the customer.
- To set up and implement new client operation till it is stabilized.
- Maintain and follow company rules, regulations and Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
- Guide and support all functions for all related customer’s matters.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good mix of business and systems knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written (English); fluency in other Asian languages a plus.
- Team player with a good working attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
