Let's give you a quick sneak peek into the life of a Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Manager
As Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Manager, you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance schedules, based upon the availability of materials/crews/machinery to each factory maintenance team, keeping in view the weekly/monthly production plans received from the planning department to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance.
Things you will be doing as a Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Manager
Organize and execute machinery maintenance including breakdown, preventive maintenance and extensive overhauls to ensure the continuous running of machines
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities
Prepare maintenance plan/schedule in SAP in liaison with production scheduler by developing maintenance plan using equipment master data and circulating the Excel-based maintenance schedule to all stakeholders
Determines spare parts requirements for production coordinates and implement changes in MPS due to product design /material to ensure smooth operation Coordinate and implement changes in the Maintenance Planning Schedule due to product design /material to ensure smooth operation
Maintain a professional and well-motivated team and plan regular meetings with them to communicate monthly results, company news & changes, projects and discuss action plans for the next month
Ensure the availability of quality spares by closely monitoring the consumption pattern
Support implementation of changes to the production planning system, shared between supply chain and factory, to obtain the best results
Focus on key priorities of resource and process optimization appropriately
Seek feedback from the production team for continuous improvement in the quality of maintenance and execute the suggested actions
Work in close liaison with the services team for the effective execution of maintenance activities
Create an environment that seeks to continuously improve, from ideas that come from not only within the department but also the rest of the factory and other SHAN locations
Transition from corrective maintenance to planned maintenance, and ultimately progress toward predictive maintenance
Execute standardization of existing machinery through modification/innovations for quality, safety and productivity improvement
What are we looking for in you?
A minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
6-8 years of engineering experience out of which 2 years of experience in maintenance planning and spare management roles in the Food, CPG or FMCG industries
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations, and other related codes and regulations applying to the operation of a food products factory
