Position:Assistant Manager - Taxation and Accounts

Department:Finance

Reports To:Head of Accounts / MD / CEO

Location:118 Main Blvd, Sector J DHA Phase 6, Lahore, Punjab 54700Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance and Reporting:Prepare monthly tax reports for top management.Oversee and manage tax compliance, reporting, and filing for the company.Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate and personnel income tax and VAT returns for group companies.Verify withholding tax deductions from suppliers and related party payments.Prepare advance income tax reports on a monthly basis and calculate expected income tax liability for the year.Accounts Reconciliation and Documentation:Reconcile tax records with accounts on a monthly basis.Maintain complete records, both soft and hard copies, related to sales tax returns, income tax returns, and provincial sales tax.Ensure all invoices cleared are detailed monthly, and payments are released to relevant suppliers/parties accordingly.Maintain records of invoices, bills, GDs, undertakings, etc., related to monthly sales tax returns.Keep files of advance tax challans with supporting tax documents in soft and hard forms.Advisory and Compliance Management:Check and verify tax-supporting documents and advise the accounts team on necessary amendments.Stay updated with day-to-day changes in tax laws and communicate these to relevant departments within the group companies.Provide innovative tax planning solutions and review complex income tax returns.Identify and mitigate tax risks.Manage and coordinate tax audits and prepare tax papers regularly.Stakeholder Management and Audit Assistance:Advise stakeholders on business-related issues, including taxation, finance, and auditing.Assist external auditors during year-end audits concerning income tax documents.Handle special assignments as directed by the Head of Accounts, MD, or CEO.Requirements:ACCA / ACMA / M.COM / CA Finalist with completed articles from a reputable firm.1-2 years of post-articles experience in a manufacturing concern.Hands-on experience in sales tax, income tax, and internal audits.Skills:Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local tax laws and regulations.Proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Job Type: Full-timePay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per monthApplication Deadline: 06/09/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
