Senior Tunnel Ventilation Engineer

The job posting is outdated and position may be filled • Manage and coordinate tunnel ventilation works from concept to construction in support of project requirements• Perform tunnel ventilation analysis using 1D and 3D computational modelling tools (i.e. SES and CFD) and develop innovative designs, meeting our client's expectations• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines within the tunnel systems team to help complete assigned tasks and projects• Assisting in the bidding process of future work and developing/strengthening networking channels• Visit and work from client or project offices and travel as and when required, locally and internationally• Participate in site inspections of tunnels and related infrastructure facilities as and when required• Hold a Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical or equivalent engineering degree• Have 10+ years of experience in tunnel ventilation and mechanical ventilation design• Be knowledgeable on 1D & 3D modelling tools (SES, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, FDS) and evacuation software, and HVAC Systems would be beneficial• Have good working knowledge of NFPA with emphasis on NFPA 130 and NFPA 502, and fire life safety codes• Have knowledge of CAD Software using AutoCAD / Microstation / BIM• Be an innovative thinker who can help shape tunnel ventilation strategies and solutions on a wide range of building & infrastructure projects including road and rail tunnels• Be a team player who enjoys working with colleagues in other disciplines and sectors of the construction and other industries• Be a communicator keen to showcase the concepts and ideas including presentations as well as develop our existing client and internal relationships and create new ones• Have the ability to work independently and solve complex problems with little supervision Disclaimer: Drjobs.ae is only a platform that connects job seekers and employers.
