OverviewWe are partnered with a leading analytical instrumentation organisation enabling scientists to make breakthrough discoveries and develop new applications that improve the quality of human life. Their high-performance products and high-value life science and diagnostics solutions are industry renowned.To strengthen and develop their sales team, they are searching for a Sales Director Western Europe to lead a direct team of 6 sales managers/representatives. The role can be remotely based in the region.ResponsibilitiesYou report to the VP Global Sales and are responsible for developing sales, increasing market share, and developing relationships with customers.Develop and implement sales strategies and actions for Western Europe.Leadership for a direct sales team of 6 direct reports.Analysing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and threats.Organising training programs to enhance the team's product knowledge, sales techniques, and HPLC-related expertise.Implementing sales strategies to achieve organisational goals and revenue targets.Preparation of quotations and overseeing the related order processing.Conducting regular performance reviews, providing feedback, and implementing improvement plans.Preparing detailed sales reports, analysing sales data, and presenting insights to senior management.Leveraging new technologies and tools to improve sales operations and customer engagement.QualificationsEducation in a life-sciences background.Knowledge in the field of HPLC or analytical instrumentation is an advantage.Ideally in-depth knowledge of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) techniques, applications, and related products/services.7+ years of sales development experience within analytical instrumentation.Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.Customer-oriented thinking with targeted and positive interaction with employees.Experience with the Direct and indirect/Distributor Sales model.Fluent in English and a European language.Travel 20-30% of working time.Proven experience in direct or indirect leadership/management.How to applyApply here if you are interested in this opportunity or if you would like a confidential discussion about your career opportunities please reach out to Tamin.Ghezally@scientasearch.com.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionBusiness Development, Sales, and General BusinessIndustriesChemical Manufacturing, Biotechnology Research, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
