Job Title: NDT Technician
Department: Quality Assurance / Inspection Reports To: Quality Assurance ManagerJob Overview:
The NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Technician is responsible for conducting various non-destructive examinations to ensure the integrity and reliability of components and structures. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background, capable of using advanced NDT methods and adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Non-Destructive Tests: Perform NDT methods including but not limited to Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radio-graphic Testing (RT), and Visual Inspection (VT).
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting the techniques used, findings, and recommendations. Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections and tests for quality assurance and traceability.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of NDT equipment. Identify and rectify issues or malfunctions in testing equipment.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Adhere strictly to company policies, safety guidelines, and legal regulations. Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in NDT technologies and methods.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other team members, including engineers, production personnel, and other technicians, to ensure timely execution of NDT services. Effectively communicate findings, concerns, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
