Production Engineer

Broad Role & Responsibility

1. Job execution: Should be well-versed in understanding the various steps required to fabricate the job and ensure appropriate executing based on plan provided. Should raise material and consumable requisition on time to ensure smooth flow of jobs. Should evaluate quality of product at all stages to ensure job is executed right the first time.
2. Labour / contractor management: Should ensure qualified person is doing the job at all times. Should ensure proper equipment usage by the workers / contractors.
3. Should be able to communicate with the workers / contractors in an amiable manner to get efficient work out of them. Should be able to resolve any issues at the workplace related to the workers/contractors.. Lead continual improvement initiatives along with the team.

Shop floor management: Should ensure that the shop floor remains neat and clean at alltimes all the tool and tackles are in working order and regular maintenance is done. Implement 5S on the shopfloor. Ensure shopfloor safety protocols are followed. 4. Job card management: Should fill up and maintain the job card for every job every day. Should be able to generate appropriate reports based on this data. 5.Interface with other departments: - Co-ordinate with PRJ to get prepared material for job execution. Must ensure all material received is complete and of proper quality. - Co-ordinate with QC for in-process / final inspection / welder qualifications, etc. - Co-ordinate with STR to raise and receive consumables, PPE items, etc. as required. Also, report the monthly closing stock for the material in WIP. - Co-ordinate with DSP to declare the job completion and handover complete job for packing and dispatch activities. - Coordinate with MNT to report any equipment breakdown and ensure quick turnaround. 6.Contractor bill processing and incentive processing: Should validate the bills raised by contractors. Also, should calculate any incentives as applicable for the month. 7.ISO framework: Should work inside the ISO framework established by the company and suggest improvements in process from time-to-time. 8.Operations: Take care of the operational needs of the organization. 9.Reporting: Generate various reports as required by the management. Education: DME / BE (Mech) Experience: 4 - 5 years in similar industry / product. Preferred Industry : Industrial Dampers / Expansion Joints / Light Engineering / Ducting / Fan Manufacturers / Boiler Manufacturers / Structural (General) Fabrication.
