Ensuring the Engineering operation complies with the Company policies in terms of HSS, Bio-Security. Manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to assist the operation to achieve production targets as determined by the budget.Areas of Responsibility (AOR)Success Indicators1.Developing and managing a preventative maintenance program for the various sectors of the operation. Liasing with the maintenance teams through their supervisors & (CMMS) to ensure that the standards of work are maintained2.Managing effective workshops and construction teams to supply a service to the operation.3.Compile and update the Standard Operating Proceedures (SOP) for the operation.4.Compile and manage the operational Budget for the Engineering Operation in conjunction with the Financial Department5.Compile and manage the Capex Budget for the Engineering Operation in conjunction with the Financial Department.6.Management of Contractors and works contracts.7.Management of a sucession plan and employee evaluation for the operation in conjunction with HR Department.8.Development of Supplier / Customer relations.9.Execute projects when ever required.10.Selection and development of sub-ordinates in conjunction of the HR Department. Formation of multiskilled teams11.Ensure a safe environment within to work in conjunction with the HSS Department1.Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP)2.Plant reliability + uptime3.SOP Manual.4.On budget5.Spend on budget, projects on time.6.Quality of work7.Sucession Plan and quarterly employee evaluation8.Relation Charts and surveys.9.Outcome of exposed projects.10.Training Schedule, skills matrix and Employee Turnover11.Lost Time Injury Rate (LTI) and safety audit rating.Activities:- Inspection of a works - Daily- Evaluation of the teams performance on the Computerized Maintenance Management System - Daily- Scheduling & monitoring the various programs;o Preventative Maintenance.oContracts.oCapital Expenditure.- Checking orders and authorization of materials in line with the companys authority level - Daily- Scheduling various audits;oSafety. bi-annuallyoQuality.
