Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | Posted on 11/07/2023 TheID Senior Technical Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing thetechnical aspects of industrial design projects. This role combines technicalexpertise with design principles to ensure that products or systems are notonly visually appealing but also functional, reliable, and manufacturable.TechnicalDesign: Collaborate with industrial designers to translate conceptual designsinto technically feasible solutions.Ensurethat the design meets technical requirements, such as materials, manufacturingprocesses, and structural integrity.Prototypingand Testing: Supervise the creation of prototypes and conduct testing tovalidate design concepts and technical specifications.Analyzeand address issues and limitations identified during testing.Manufacturability:Evaluate the manufacturability of the design, considering production processes,costs, and quality control.Workwith manufacturing teams to optimize the production process.MaterialsSelection: Choose appropriate materials based on performance, aesthetics, andsustainability criteria. Assess the impact of selected materials on the design.Documentation:Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineeringdrawings, specifications, and design reports.Ensurethat documentation complies with industry standards and regulations.Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers,mechanical engineers, product managers, and marketing, to achieve projectgoals.ProblemSolving: Identify technical challenges and propose innovative solutions toovercome them. Address issues that arise during the design and developmentprocess.Requirements Abachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field. Proficiencyin CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Strongknowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles. Projectmanagement and leadership skills. Excellentcommunication and teamwork abilities.
