Operations Manager Location: Remote, with a preference for candidates based in London or the Netherlands. Open to applicants from anywhere in Europe. On behalf of a leading independent software vendor known for developing tools that help IT teams collaborate, manage projects, and track tasks effectively we're looking for a Community Operations Manager in London area. As a Community Operations Manager you’ll play a key role in this dynamic community, focusing on operational excellence as we expand the company's Community Leaders programme. You’ll manage the platforms and processes that support these programmes, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, and engaging with top contributors. If you’re passionate about community building, operational efficiency, and being part of a global initiative, this role is for you! This is a remote 12-month contract position. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on: 1. Tools: Support the technology stack and manage vendor relationships for the Community Leader program, ensuring scalability. Work closely with our merchandise vendor. 2. Merchandise: Oversee the entire order process, including proposing items, forecasting quantities, submitting orders, drafting creative briefs, tracking budgets, and monitoring inventory. 3. Communications: Collaborate across diverse communication channels to engage cross-functional teams and Community Leaders in a fully remote environment, with a focus on top-tier customer service and empathy. 4. Procedures: Establish and maintain documentation of changes, updates, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency. 5. New Projects: Lead new initiatives from conception to completion, developing processes to ensure successful execution and integration into operations. Required skills, attributes and experience: 1. 4+ years of experience in an operational role within a community or marketing team. 2. You thrive in a generalist role, stepping in wherever needed. Resourceful and eager to learn, you excel in dynamic environments and ask a lot of questions. You’re naturally responsible and dive into details eagerly to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. 3. You have experience in serving customers, particularly within a community setting. You excel at problem-solving, while also empathizing with the customer. 4. Your first instinct is to find ways to help others, consistently looking for opportunities to suggest solutions and provide support. 5. You enjoy getting to know your teammates and always assume positive intent. You take your work seriously, but not yourself. You prioritize what’s best for the team. 6. You are generous with your knowledge and understand that speaking your mind requires equal parts thoughtfulness, timing, and care. It’s admired, but not required, if: - You have experience working with various platforms and tools like project management software and cloud-based collaboration tools. - You have experience maintaining budgets for merchandise. - You have managed vendor relationships. - You have experience working with teams across multiple locations and time zones. - You're comfortable working independently.
