Heavy Maintenance | Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I (B1,B2 & Structure)

About the roleQatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical Engineering, Heavy Maintenance team as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level I. As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Level I, you will be responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance activities to directly support flight operations maintenance checks and duties within your authority as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer. You will also provide specialized knowledge, skills, and expertise required to ensure safe, effective, and efficient operation.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

Plan assigned activities in an effective and efficient manner, operate equipment or use tooling relative to assigned tasks within the framework of Qatar Airways procedures.

Review work procedures, standards and propose improvements where procedures are not appropriate to ensure work processes are effective.

Responsible for the final release of work accomplished by the Mechanics. Ensure tasks are performed to meet company standards and targets such as dispatch reliability and levels of acceptable deferred defects.

Ensure delivery standards of QR products are met. Aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with laid down policies and procedures. Provide satisfactory support to internal and external customers.

Implement solutions to technical problems within your range of authority, and ensure that aircraft or components serviceability standards are maintained to meet schedule requirements.

Provide guidance and/or on-the-job training to the Technicians and Aircraft Mechanics reporting to this position.

Qualifications

About youThe successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (e.g., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering with minimum 5 years of job-related experience.

Holds minimum of one full Qatar Airways main fleet ICAO/QCAA license and approvals.

Minimum 3 years job-related aircraft certifying experience as EN.00.

As per company requirement, must arrange to have equipment, heavy vehicle driving license to facilitate Maintenance task requirements.

Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

Ability to control operations of equipment or systems.

Excellent communication skills (speak/read/write) in English.
