Job Summary:

As the steward of technological advancement within the global quick-service restaurant supply chain in North America, the Vice President of Technology (IT), Global Procurement and Supply Chain holds a pivotal role in orchestrating the convergence of cutting-edge IT solutions with the intricacies of restaurant operations. Tasked with fostering a culture of innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, this executive leader spearheads the strategic integration of technology to optimize procurement processes, fortify supply chain efficiency, and amplify strategic sourcing initiatives across the quick-service restaurant landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Provide visionary leadership in delineating the transformative potential of technology within the intricate web of restaurant procurement and supply chain dynamics. Working closely with the CEO and functional Department heads, the VP of Technology delineates a cohesive IT strategy, intricately interwoven with overarching business objectives and anticipatory industry trends.

Collaborate with a consortium of executive stakeholders to delineate and prioritize IT investments, ensuring a judicious allocation of resources poised to precipitate maximal operational impact and market differentiation.

Technology Enablement:

Undertake a discerning evaluation of emergent technological paradigms and industry trends, discerning opportunities for innovation and efficiency enhancement within the restaurant supply chain domain. From cloud-driven procurement platforms to predictive analytics engines and IT-driven inventory management systems, the VP of Technology orchestrates the strategic deployment of tailored IT solutions poised to redefine restaurant logistics.

Oversee the meticulous development and seamless deployment of mobile applications and digital platforms, fostering a symbiotic ecosystem of communication and collaboration spanning the gamut of supply chain management - from suppliers and vendors to distribution channels.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Cultivate a culture of cross-functional synergy and innovative ideation, fostering the dissolution of organizational silos and the propagation of knowledge across IT, procurement, restaurant, operations, and finance echelons. Through the formation of cross-disciplinary project teams, the VP of Technology navigates the labyrinthine depths of collaborative ingenuity, designing and implementing end-to-end solutions aimed at optimizing the flow of goods, minimizing waste, and ensuring unwavering compliance with regulatory mandates and restaurant and warehouse safety protocols.

Serve as the lynchpin in the orchestration of interdepartmental initiatives, harmonizing disparate perspectives and operational exigencies into a unified symphony of operational excellence and customer-centricity.

Change Management and Adoption:

Embark upon a crusade of organizational metamorphosis, spearheading initiatives poised to engender an ethos of technological adaptability and continuous improvement. Tasked with shepherding the organization through the throes of digital transformation, the VP of Technology articulates a compelling narrative of innovation and adaptability, empowering employees at every stratum to embrace technological novelties and evolve in tandem with the exigencies of the digital epoch.

Envision and orchestrate comprehensive training regimens and change management initiatives, equipping the restaurant staff with the requisite skill sets and cognitive frameworks essential for the proficient navigation of digital landscapes and the effective utilization of IT systems.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

Forge an arsenal of performance metrics and KPIs, meticulously calibrated to gauge the efficacy of IT interventions in ameliorating key supply chain metrics, ranging from inventory turnover and order accuracy to on-time delivery and supplier performance. Through the judicious application of data analytics and machine learning algorithms, the VP of Technology discerns patterns, trends, and optimization opportunities, galvanizing the organization into a relentless pursuit of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Leverage data-driven insights to steer a course of continuous improvement, perpetually refining operational processes and augmenting supply chain efficiency to mirror the evolving contours of consumer preferences and industry exigencies.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Enforce a fortress of cyber resilience and data fortification, erecting robust cybersecurity architectures and data protection protocols to safeguard the sanctity of sensitive information and fortify the integrity of IT systems underpinning restaurant procurement and supply chain operations.

Consultant to the CEO:

Illuminate the path forward in navigating the intricate interplay between technological innovation and culinary prowess, charting a course of strategic differentiation and market leadership in an era defined by digital disruption and consumer-centricity.

15 days, 6% of all gross wages

Mandatory Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree/Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Automation Control, Information technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, procurement, supply chain management, or related fields, with a proven track record of driving digital transformation initiatives.

Demonstrated expertise in leveraging technology to optimize complex supply chain processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experiences in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong leadership and professional skills, with a proven track record of senior management within a first-tier supplier.

Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, along with a deep understanding of supply chain management principles.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team and negotiate with stakeholders.

Knowledge of global contract law and/or supplier management, as well as experience in developing and securing commodity business strategies.

Substantial experience in supply chain management or logistics, preferably in a global environment, especially in China.

Ideally being able to speak Mandarin and Cantonese as 99% of our vendors are from overseas and most of whom only speak these two languages.
