R&D Engineer

Area of responsibility:
The role will work on all areas of technology development programs that support the final selection and development of EANAN's aircraft systems. The technologies targeted for innovation and R&D are but not limited to Power systems (including batteries and hydrogen fuel cells), tilt rotor systems, electrical motors and drives, structural materials and processes, sensors and data management. The scope of the work will be adapted to the initial skills of the engineer but training and self-learning shall open the initial knowledge to other domains.
Subordination structure:
Functional subordination to the CTO of EANAN Al Samma
Main Responsibilities:
Studying deeply the requirements, characteristics, and solutions for hydrogen drive trains, battery systems and for UAV applications
Propose and evaluate technical concepts, perform system safety analysis, generate engineering drawings and design specifications, test plans and reports, compliance documentation
Define and acquire the necessary laboratory equipment and tools
Set-up and qualify the test laboratory including safety procedures
Work closely with suppliers to select, procure, design, and build components for the EANAN aircraft systems
Profile:
Master of Science in Aerospace, Electromechanical, Electrical Engineering or Physics
This position is also open to juniors
High interest in hydrogen fuel cells, battery technology
Interest for UAV related technologies like propellers, electoral motors, tilt rotor system and avionics is a plus
Passion for new technology, learning and problem solving
Team player, confident in technical discussions, ability to organize and "get things done"
Working knowledge with Microsoft Office
Fluent in English
Nice to have:
Familiar with Matlab/ Simulink
Familiar with Python or similar scripting language
