Project Control Specialist/Scheduler Liberal Construction was established in 2010 and implements US Government funded projects in the Middle East. Liberal Construction, LLC has an opportunity for a Project Control Specialist/Scheduler position at our Bahrain location. The selected candidate will create and maintain project schedules, providing schedule coordination with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and customers. Job Summary: The Project Planner/Scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing project schedules to ensure successful project execution. They are responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating project plans, timelines, and deliverables. The Project Planner/Scheduler collaborates closely with project teams, stakeholders, and management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Provide critical path analysis, identify problem areas, and create work-around solutions.
  • Timely create and maintain program and project schedules necessary to properly plan work.
  • Assist with establishing project budgets from proposal estimate, track committed costs, and forecast remaining costs for engineering, equipment procurement, and construction sub-contracts.
  • Responsible for project and program contingency planning.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports for the internal management team.
  • Advise team on matters affecting project success, schedule, and cost impacts, and develop project recovery plans when needed.
  • Be part of the project management team responsible for meeting project deadlines.
  • Assist with identifying out-of-scope work items and creating change order requests to be presented to the client, including estimated cost and schedule impacts.
  • Consistently identify potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
  • Completely own comprehensive integrated schedule required for planning and scheduling all facility functions.
  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Education or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or other related field
  • Experience working as Scheduler/Surveyor with USACE, NAVFAC, and US Government projects is required.
  • Proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Familiarity with US government contracts and schedules
  • Prior experience in pre-contract and post-construction required
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling, equipment, and methods required
  • Prior experience in Procore CMS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
