***TEMPORARY - 12 MONTH OPPORTUNITY***

Join our team. Welcome to our dynamic and fast-paced team, operating within an entrepreneurial environment. Our primary focus lies in capturing and growing our share in the nature-based and carbon solutions market opportunity, catering to B2B and B2C customers and supporting internal TELUS teams on their transition to a more environmentally friendly future. This is a new growth team at TELUS looking at expanding our capabilities in tree planting, carbon credit project development, climate analytics, and other tech-forward environmental and nature-based solutions. To achieve this, we are seeking exceptional individuals who are high-performing, self-starters with deep business development and product development experience to join us in this new growth phase of the business. Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together:

As a part of the broader TELUS Sustainability & Environment team, your deliverables for this year-long assignment will be:

Further develop and refine TELUS Environmental Solutions business development roadmap and product development approach and implementation plan.

Further develop our nature-based solutions and carbon market customer insights and database.

Create and take action on build/partner/buy opportunities in the nature-based solutions, carbon credits, and climate analytics markets.

Contribute to TELUS Environmental Solutions brand and EBITDA growth.

You're the missing piece of the puzzle:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field;

MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

Proven experience in corporate business development, product planning, mergers and acquisitions roles.

Strong financial acumen, including budget management, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Knowledge of environmental industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.

Experience identifying and leading climate action initiatives.

Recognized for your ability to inspire, collaborate, challenge the status quo and adapt plans to changing business needs.

Great-to-haves:

Demonstrated success as a program/project manager with a proven track record of delivering successful financial and environmental business and customer outcomes.

Minimum 8 years experience in a business development/product planning role, including negotiating strategic partnership/commercial agreements and supporting M&A activity.

Minimum of intermediate knowledge of the opportunities and challenges in the carbon credit, as well as the carbon measurement, reporting and validation marketplace.

Strong stakeholder management with the ability to traverse complex stakeholder landscapes to manage conflicting priorities.

Expert at navigating TELUS business planning activities, translating strategic objectives of the business into achievable product and revenue targets.

Ability to orchestrate reporting requirements into action-oriented and timely results and insights.

Experience creating and implementing pricing and offer strategy.
