Director of Business Development
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Leader, with intimate knowledge of the construction sector, to join our Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the President and directing the Business Development team that generates new business opportunities while creating greater exposure for incremental sales and increased revenues.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategies:
Define and implement strategies taking into consideration: competitive advantages, market trends, customer needs, competitor actions, and the best opportunities for growth and profitability.
Project Identification:
Forecast and track pipeline, projects, and profit margins on an ongoing basis. Build company image by creating and monitoring campaigns. Manage the assembly and delivery of proposals and pre-construction services for major projects.
Client engagement and relationship building:
Initiate contact with key clients and influencers to develop relationships that ensure Thermal Systems is a top vendor choice. Consult with internal technical experts on all bid projects to ensure technical standards can be met. Ensure positive relationships with exclusive product suppliers.
Directing the team to success:
Defining lead generation strategies, qualification criteria, and effective client communication techniques. Collaborate effectively to streamline processes and procedures ensuring consistency and efficiency across the team. Measure and improve the success of the team, implement corrective and preventive actions to address any gaps.
Qualifications
Experience in the construction industry is required
Enviable track record of achieving goals in an entrepreneurial, growth driven, successful business development role
Appropriate combination of experience and education necessary to achieve the mandate
Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate the team
Proven ability to build relationships while working closely with clients, suppliers, and departments within the company
Unquestionable business ethics and integrity
