Job description
Remove tartar, stains, and plaque from teeth. Apply sealants and fluorides to help protect teeth. Take and develop dental x rays. Assess patients' oral health and report findings to dentists.
Responsibilities:
Perform dental examinations to assess oral health and identify any dental issues
Diagnose dental conditions and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
Carry out dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and dental restorations
Administer anesthetics and other medications as needed during dental procedures
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care
Interpret X-rays and other diagnostic tests to aid in treatment planning
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment plans and procedures
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as dental hygienists and dental assistants, to ensure coordinated patient care
Stay up-to-date with advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and sterile environment in the dental office
