Meter Inspection Officer

Tech (Electrical/Electronics)AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYBusinessSurvey and carry out SIRs in assigned areas not limited to circuits confirming theft, alteration/damage in meters and other discrepancies leading to illegal use of energy by consumer, ownership of connections and confirmation of usage.

Perform site inspections on meters/sites/buildings for identifying hazardous conditions/safety risks and immediately reporting the same to Line Manager.

Note down PMT/trafo check meters readings.

Carry out surveys against MR notes/discrepancies.

Undertake inspection of all cases routed through emails or consumers' complaints.

Prepare SIRs for unmetered connections for appropriate action.

Undertake practicing required safety standards and inspection processes.

Examine metering equipment for ascertaining evidence of tampering.

Undertake removal of metering equipment showing evidence of tampering and inform consumer on disconnection of supply till settlement of IRB (potential theft cases).

Remove unauthorized wires or devices (magnet, remote device control, dimmer, two-way switches etc) illegally installed to obstruct normal function of metering equipment and prepare SIRs.

Examine incoming and outgoing wiring connections of metering equipment's.

Coordinate with project teams to note real time information of device particulars (old and new) required for system based replacement.

Participate in survey conducted by teams (FIA, security and LEAs).

Attend need based case hearings under litigations.

Asaan Meter report extract on SAP and checking for new updated regarding survey / pending

New Connection data management and closure of all cases timely

NC survey punching on system SAP, clearance from dues clearance & FBA. Reservation creation / meter installation and taken on billing panel

Coordinate with consumer regarding paid of estimate / test form

Bulk to Individual metering surveys and reporting

Bulk to individual metering NCM ID creation and punching on system, and JCF creation

DP Cases (Unmetered) management - Ensuring SIRs and conversion to metered connections.Health, Safety & EnvironmentEnsure that department operates in accordance with all the applicable health, safety and environmental protocols leading towards safety and well-being of staff & public.Knowledge (Functional)Knowledge of electrical systems and metering equipment
