Medical Laboratory Technologist

Ensures operation of analyzers,and other laboratory equipment by calibrating; completingpreventive maintenance requirements; followingmanufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions;calling for repairs.Runs daily quality controlchecks and performs CAP Proficiency testing asrequired.Provides a healthy and safe workingenvironment by maintaining cleanliness in the laboratory andpracticing preventive measures.Performsroutine laboratory testing as per departmental policies andprocedures.Communicates critical, urgent, andabnormal results with orderingphysicians.Communicates with nursing andphysicians on patient preparation, sample collection andintegrity.Prioritizes workload in an efficientproductive manner.Promotes ethical practices& maintain patientconfidentiality.Participates at the labmonthly focus group.Performs other duties asassigned.QUALIFICATIONSBScin Medical Laboratory Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science orBiomedical ScienceCurrent/Valid DHA License orEligibility LetterInternational accreditationas a Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist from AmericanSociety of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) isrecommended.
