PositionOverview: The Cyber Security Analyst plays a criticalrole in safeguarding the digital assets and information of aFastMoving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company from cyber threats andattacks. This position involves monitoring analyzing and respondingto security incidents implementing security measures and controlsand providing expertise and guidance on cyber security bestpractices. The Cyber Security Analyst collaborates with internalteams to identify vulnerabilities mitigate risks and ensurecompliance with regulatoryrequirements.KeyResponsibilities:SecurityMonitoring and IncidentResponse:Monitor securityalerts and events using security information and event management(SIEM) tools intrusion detection systems (IDS) and other securitytechnologies.Analyze securityincidents and anomalies to determine their nature scope andpotential impact on the organizations systems anddata.Respond to security incidentsin a timely manner containing and mitigating threats andcoordinating with relevant stakeholders to investigate and resolveincidents.VulnerabilityManagement:Conduct regularvulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identifyweaknesses in the companys IT infrastructure applications andsystems.Prioritize and remediateidentified vulnerabilities working with IT teams to implementpatches configurations or other controls to reducerisk.Stay informed about emergingthreats vulnerabilities and security trends and recommend proactivemeasures to strengthen the companys securityposture.SecurityControlsImplementation:Assist inthe design implementation and maintenance of security controls andmeasures to protect the companys networks systems anddata.Configure and manage securitytechnologies such as firewalls antivirus software encryption toolsand endpoint detection and response (EDR)solutions.Develop and enforcesecurity policies standards and procedures to ensure compliancewith industry regulations and bestpractices.SecurityAwareness andTraining:Develop anddeliver security awareness training programs and materials toeducate employees about cyber security risks threats and bestpractices.Promote a culture ofsecurity awareness and compliance throughout the organizationemphasizing the role of every employee in protecting company assetsanddata.IncidentReporting andDocumentation:Documentsecurity incidents investigations and remediation activities inaccordance with established procedures and regulatoryrequirements.Prepare incidentreports and postincident reviews to analyze root causes lessonslearned and recommendations for improving incident responseprocesses.QualificationsandSkills:Bachelorsdegree in computer science information technology cyber security ora related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP CEH orCompTIA Security are highlydesirable.Proven experience incyber security roles preferably in a corporate environment orwithin the FMCG industry.Indepthknowledge of cyber security principles technologies and bestpractices including network security encryption intrusiondetection/prevention and incidentresponse.Familiarity with securityframeworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity FrameworkISO/IEC 27001 and PCI DSS.Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyzesecurity incidents assess risks and develop effectivesolutions.Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technicalconcepts to nontechnical stakeholders and collaborate withcrossfunctionalteams.-Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology,cyber security, or a related field; relevant certifications such asCISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable. -Provenexperience in cyber security roles, preferably in a corporateenvironment or within the FMCG industry. -In-depth knowledge ofcyber security principles, technologies, and best practices,including network security, encryption, intrusiondetection/prevention, and incident response. -Familiarity withsecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CybersecurityFramework, ISO/IEC 27001, and PCI DSS. -Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze securityincidents, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the abilityto convey technical concepts to non-technical --stakeholders andcollaborate with cross-functional teams.
