Responsibilities:Take food and drinkorders from customers accurately and with a positiveattitude.Write patrons' food orders onorder slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers fortransmittal to kitchen staff.Engage withcustomers in a friendly manner.Knowledge ofthe menu, with the ability to makesuggestions.Ensure tables are enjoying theirmeals and take action to correct anyproblems.Collect payments fromtables.Prepare checks that itemize and totalmeal costs and sales taxes.Help foodpreparation staff whennecessary.
