Structural Design Engineer

Experience Level: Senior (Minimum 10 years)Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and construction of various structural components within infrastructure developments. This role requires expertise in structural design, project management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Responsibilities:Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for various infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, roads, and other large-scale developments.Conduct structural analysis using industry-standard software and ensure designs comply with relevant codes and regulations.Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate structural components into comprehensive project plans.Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for project execution.Review and approve designs, modifications, and shop drawings from contractors and consultants.Oversee the construction phase, ensuring that structural elements are built according to specifications and addressing any on-site issues promptly.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.Stay current with industry trends, standards, and advancements in structural engineering.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Structural Engineering.A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design, specifically in infrastructure projects.Experience in at least one multilateral-funded project, such as those funded by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, or similar institutions.Proficient in structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including AISC, ACI, or Eurocodes.Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CE) certification.Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.Familiarity with sustainable and green design practices.: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
