LHH is currently seeking an Assistant Manager(Branch Operations) for our client in Augusta, GA. In this pivotalrole, you will collaborate closely with the Branch Manager tooversee Route Drivers and Customer Deliveries, ensuring a cultureof safety, growth, and operational excellence. Key responsibilitiesinclude:Safety Leadership andCompliance:Champion asafety-focused cultureDrive safe workpractices through coaching and traininginitiatives.Conduct safety incidentinvestigations and propose corrective actions to preventrecurrences.Ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements, overseeing training andrecordkeeping.Personneland TalentDevelopment:Lead andsupervise direct reports, aligning with organizational policies andlaws.Manage staffing levels, partnering withHuman Resources for recruitment and retentionstrategies.Delegate tasks to enhanceefficiency and staff development.Handleperformance management and resolve issues to foster a positive workenvironment.CustomerService and BusinessManagement:Maintainsuperior customer service standards, handling inquiries promptlyand courteously.Oversee sales-relatedpaperwork and inventory management.Collaboratewith outside sales representatives and support theirefforts.Assist the Branch Manager inoperations, profitability, and customerservice.Qualifications:Possess2+ years of logistics experience, with a focus on short-hauldistribution.Proven ability to create andexecute action plans for businessimprovement.Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills, with a sense ofurgency.Organized, detail-oriented, andgoal-driven.Capability to work independentlyand under pressure to meet deadlines.Stronginterpersonal skills and basic leadershipabilities.Associate's Degree inBusiness or related field preferred, with supervisoryexperience.Retail experience with a focus oncustomer service and sales improvement.Basicknowledge of Microsoft Office applications andSAP INT
