Parts Person (Journeyperson)

Job DescriptionThe Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for an experienced Parts Person with large earthworks equipment experience.Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada.Nuna is a highly regarded civil construction company with hundreds of employees working across the Arctic and Northern Canada. Nuna's core values of: Safety - Integrity - Teamwork - Respect for Cultural Diversity and for Community & Environment; reflect our reputation as a safe, cost-effective, and innovative operator in the north.We require an experienced Parts Person to join our team to work at our shop in Acheson Alberta.We offer:Schedule: Mon-Fri - 8 hrs. per day.Competitive hourly rate with overtime pay.Diverse and rewarding project experiences.Collaborative team that works to foster a culture of safety and focus on continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Locate parts and other materials, and ship to project sites.Provide assistance to Heavy Equipment Technicians as required.Place orders for specialized parts.Make inventory and bin adjustment recommendations.Accurately and completely document and report all shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information.Use parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems.General shipping and receiving duties as required.Job RequirementsQualifications:Valid Journeyperson parts person ticketPrevious JDE experience is an assetAbility to deal with multiple requests and various vendorsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficient with Microsoft OfficeExperience with heavy equipment parts, specifically CAT, JD, and KomatsuPrefer experience with SIS and other heavy equipment vendor parts software is an assetForklift experienceHow to Apply:Interested applicants are asked to apply online at or by email Nuna is committed to the principle of employment equity.
