Job Summary: Working as part of our mechanical services team, our Automotive Service Technician- Red Seal is responsible to complete diagnosis, repairs, inspections, and maintenance to vehicles as assigned while maintaining consistently high standards for technical efficiency and observing all safety requirements. Responsibilities include: Responsible for provision of general repair services by conducting general mechanical inspections and repairs including brake jobs, exhaust system jobs, front end alignments, ball joints, air conditioning, maintenance of auction vehicles and external referrals for transmission work. Delivery of general maintenance services by conducting oil and fluid changes, tire changes, general vehicle check overs and related duties as well as ensuring that all safety procedures are followed Completing pre and post sale inspections as a provision of Buyer Protection Plan Completing motor vehicle safety inspections by conducting body, frame and damage checks, transmission, differential and overall power train checks, and completion of the required safety checklist for confirmation of work completed Responsible for provision of frame inspection services by conducting inspections of vehicle undercarriages to ensure no cracks, bends or other damage exists Completing general shop maintenance, pulling up vehicles into the shop, and test driving vehicles for diagnosis of repairs required May be required to assist with sourcing parts & providing quotes to customer May be required to complete work orders including parts & labor entries Other duties as assigned Experience & Education requirements: Responsible for provision of frame inspection services by conducting inspections of vehicle undercarriages to ensure no cracks, bends or other damage exists Red Seal Automotive Service Technician Certification Required. License to complete Motor Vehicle Inspections (MVI) an asset Experienced in repair and service of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components on a variety of vehicles Valid Class 5 driver's license in BC required Satisfactory drivers' abstract & criminal record check required Basic computer skills & able to utilization of smartphone required Flexible schedule required Monday-Saturday Trades & Services
