Master Technician

Job Description:Responsible for ensuring all system checks, campaign management, and warranty activities are conducted in accordance with company standards. Minimum Requirements / Experience:Grade 12 / MatricEnglish fluency (written and spoken)Valid Code B (08) driver's license with no endorsementRelevant Technical qualification (certified mechanic - red seal/ certified trade tested)Advanced Computer literacy: Microsoft Word; Excel; Internet; Microsoft Outlook3-5 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of Automotive systems (vehicle layout, function, and location of parts)Knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties, service, and general repairsOrganisational, customer service, communication, interpersonal, and training skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Responsibilities:Ensure work on all vehicles are conducted in accordance with relevant standards and procedures:Conduct system checks and campaign management activities on vehiclesConduct fault-finding investigations on problem vehiclesEnsure all repairs maintenance, and part replacement of vehicles are conducted in accordance with the clients and the company's standards.Conduct warranty repairs on vehicles as and when requiredEnsure all tools and equipment are in good working conditionAdhere to all safety requirements and ensure correct PPE is worn at all timesResponsible for ensuring the workshop and work areas are kept clean and tidy at all timesEnsure all incidents and "near misses" are reported immediately to relevant personnelEnsure Incident / Accident / CAR reports are compiled and reported according to standardResponsible to train other hourly paid technician in doing complex campaignsEnsure that tasks at hand are completed within the quoted timeConduct time estimation for campaigns requested for the input for quoting purposesEstablish tools, equipment, and support labour required for the requested campaignsProvide daily/weekly plans for the campaigns to be done and completedResponsible for documentation of all units done for tracking purposesEnsure the department adheres to ISO 45001 Quality Processes and standardsRequired to perform any task not specified above as and when required by management Competencies / Skills: Communication skillsAttention to detailTeamworkJudgment and Decision makingIntegrity and professionalism
