Job location: Greater Vancouver area, BC Permanent, full-time position Hours of work: 40 hours per week Wage - $30.00/hour Skills requirements: - 2-3 years of welding experience; - Good command of English. Education: completion of secondary school is required. Main duties and responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications; Determine weldability of materials; Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment proficiently; Operate various metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines; Fit, braze, and rectify metal using torches as necessary; Inspect welds and to ensure they meet predefined standards and specifications; Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment; Operate hoisting and lifting equipment as required.
