About Position: Act as in-region leader to drive team deliverables and serve as central point of contact to US-based leadership. Oversee the India team's delivery of technical documentation and release communications. Monitor the product development pipeline and ensure that work is assigned, loads are balanced, and documentation is developed, tested, and delivered on schedule. Role: Regional Lead - Technical WriterLocation: HyderabadExperience: 8+ yearsJob Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do: Act as in-region leader to drive team deliverables and serve as central point of contact to US-based leadership.Oversee the India team's delivery of technical documentation and release communications.Monitor the product development pipeline and ensure that work is assigned, loads are balanced, and documentation is developed, tested, and delivered on schedule.Onboard and ramp new technical writers in IndiaSchedule and lead regular 1:1s with India technical writers. Schedule and lead regular staff meetings for India technical writers.Develop a deep understanding of Seismic's information model and how our DITA authoring/CMS tool (Ixia soft) works.Help India technical writers with content planning and troubleshooting. Expertise You'll Bring: BA/BS degree in English, Technical Communication/Writing, Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or relevant professional experience 8+ years relevant experience in Scrum/Agile development environments Experience leading documentation teams authoring in DITA and producing structured content/topic-based help. Strong Editing Skills (Writing will be less)Good Communication skills (Will communicate with India Team and US Team leadership)Good with DITAShould give an overlap to eliminate the waiting time the current team in India experiences.TroubleshootingGood analytical and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to accommodate a swing shift schedule to allow for synchronous work across time zones.
