Sourcing Specialist - Food & Beverage Industry

An established food and beverage company located in Wellington, Western Cape is currently seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join their team. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the procurement of high-quality ingredients and materials. ResponsibilitiesSupplier Management Identify potential suppliers and conduct thorough evaluations to determine their suitability Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and conditions Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers Procurement Planning Collaborate with internal teams to determine procurement needs and develop procurement plans Ensure timely availability of required ingredients and materials Monitor market trends and identify potential risks or opportunities Quality Control Ensure the procurement of high-quality ingredients and materials Implement quality control measures to minimize product defects or non-compliance Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to address any issues or concerns Supplier Performance Evaluation Develop and implement a supplier performance evaluation system Regularly assess supplier performance and provide feedback Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field Prior experience as a Sourcing Specialist or in a similar role within the food and beverage industry Strong negotiation and contract management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers Knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends Attention to detail and strong analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP Must be aware of the Food Safety Guidelines Must be located in the Wellington/Paarl area BenefitsContact Hire Resolve today for your next career changing move.
