Senior Linux System Administrator

Job Description:Minfy Tech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The Linux SME will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Linux-based systems and infrastructure to support our clients' operations and objectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the success of our clients.Responsibilities:Design, architect, and implement Linux-based systems, configurations, and solutions to meet client requirements.Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Linux servers, applications, and services.Monitor system performance, security, and reliability; implement proactive measures to ensure optimal operation.Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices for Linux system administration.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux systems with other IT infrastructure components.Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends; make recommendations for technology adoption and improvements.Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery; ensure successful implementation of Linux-related initiatives.Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members; facilitate knowledge sharing and skills development.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.8-12 years of experience in Linux system administration and engineering roles, with a strong focus on design, implementation, and support.In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux), including installation, configuration, and optimization.Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM), containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Proficiency in scripting and automation using shell scripting languages (e.g., Bash) and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl).Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services; experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux Professional Institute, Red Hat Certified Engineer) are a plus.
