Our client is looking for a Business Developer with demonstrable aluminium window and door hardware industry experience.The successful incumbent will be allocated approximately 100 existing customersWill require sufficient technical proficiency in order to sell approximately 450 different aluminium window and door hardware line itemsThe Business Developer will execute this with the assistance of an Internal Sales Rep who forms the administrative backbone of invoicing, quoting, etcThe Business Developer role revolves around building relationships with customers primarily on a face to face basis, to understand the nature of each customer's business and how our client can best support these customers, to grow the level of trade with these customers, etcFocus includes the active identification and development of new customers together with a good handle on market dynamicsThe territory of the role will broadly be Pretoria and Gauteng, with certain outlying customers as well (Nelspruit, etc)The role will be remote/mobile in nature, albeit the individual will need to spend roughly 20% of their time at our offices in Silverton, Pretoria to facilitate engagement with their line manager and the rest of the businessRequirementsBusiness DevelopmentGrow basket of assigned customersGrow spend of assigned customersGrow GP% of assigned customersConvert dormant to active customers per agreed targetGrow network of active distributorsGrow spend of distributors without impinging on fabricator spendBring on new customers per agreed targetsStockReduce excess/SMS/Redundant stock per agreed targetsPropose clear recommendations on product development monthlyCompetitor and Industry trendsProvide clear, intelligible and relevant feedback on the market plus clear conclusions and tactics to maximise market share, sustainability and profitabilityClear plan on fabricator vs distributor networkDemonstrate and utilise market leading product knowledgeKey aspects The individual must have demonstrable aluminium window and door hardware industry experienceCustomer service - both internally within the organisation and outwardly to the market.
