A Compliance Company based in Benoni is looking for a driven individual to assist  the GRC Department in the development and maintenance of all Governance, Risk and Compliance Frameworks and Systems for the organisation, this will include forensics, internal audit and health and safety functions within the GRC Department.Key Performance Areas Compliance: Prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conductRisk Management: Manage and Mitigate Risks in the organisationAdministration, products, policies and proceduresMonitor, report and analyse risk, governance and GRC management processes, exposures, and trends Key Tasks Compliance: Prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.Prepare GRC reports as and when required by regulatorsLiaise, communicate and cooperate with regulators such as FSCAEnsure pro-active compliance throughout the Company, this include keeping up to date on industry legislation, creating CRMPs, Continuous monitoring assessment and evaluationInternal Compliance training and education throughout the companyProvide guidance and collaborate with complaints department pertaining to ombud cases etcMaintain FICA, POPI, TCF and all applicable business rules and legislative changesContribute towards the implementation of the Compliance annual plan Risk Management: Manage and Mitigate Risks in the organisationIdentify Potential RisksAssess and analyse risksCommunicate with External GRC Officer, Regulators, Risk and Legal Departments to ensure compliance throughout the CompanyRegularly review risks identified in the Company's risk registerEnsure business embed sound risk management principles, practices in the execution of all their activitiesReview risk assessments based on data-driven conclusions that identify strategies for addressing threats or issues that may impact financial costsDevelop, review, and implement risk management strategies, policies and procedures and contribute towards the annual risk management plan  Administration, products, policies and proceduresDraft/review, edit and submit updated licence applications to the FSCAUpdate the FAIS Rep Register/Competency RegisterDesign and update risk mitigating policiesPrepare and submit reports (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual)Ensure that products are in line with regulations and that content is grammatically appropriateProvide the business with, up-to-date, clearly explanatory Policies and ProceduresDrafting and/or vetting of agreementsAssist in the designing and implementation of all administrative processes and procedures in adherence to company policyDraft and implement a combined assurance planEnsure that existing and new insurance products evolve to meet emerging customer needsImplement and monitor a Policies and Procedures schedule to ensure that Company complies with all applicable legislation and statutory requirements  Monitor, report and analyse risk, governance and GRC management processes, exposures, and trends.Oversee and monitor adherence and GRC to risk, governance and GRC policies, standards, and procedures within the organisationMonitor and analyse risk trends within business environmentMonitor the resolution status and effectiveness of risk actionsIndependently monitor the management of all risk, governance, and GRC processesDevelop and maintain a Corporate Governance Framework for the CompanyCreate and implement, internal audit annual plans as well as prepare and present findings that reflect audit resultsEnsure compliance within the Company through established internal control procedures and processes by examining records, reports, operating practices, procedures and documentationEstablish procedures for planning and conducting audits, including the development of audit programs and policies  Essential QualificationsMatricLaw/ Risk/ Business Management DegreeRE5 Desirable QualificationsRE1 Legal or Statutory RequirementsClear Criminal RecordRE5Relevant registration with compliance/risk institutioEssential Experience3-4 years Financial Services Industry experience Desirable ExperienceAny GRC-related experience Knowledge and SkillsWritten and verbal communication skillsGood computer skills (MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)}Time management skillsInterpersonal skillsGood Proofreading skills AttributesProfessionalAbility to read and interpret legislation and other documentationAccurateStreamlining practices and proceduresAbility to PrioritiseHonest, Hardworking and Humble
