This role is perfect for someone passionate about social media, analytics, and business journalism.Our founding team has close to 50 years of experience at publications like The Economic Times, Reuters, The Times of India, and YourStory Media.Stipend: Above industry standards + opportunity to convert the role from an internship to a full-time position.SkillsStrong understanding of major social media platforms (Twitter, , Instagram, Reddit).Basic knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Creative mindset with a knack for visual storytelling; ability to use tools like Canva and Figma.Ability to work independently and as part of a team; speed and a bias for action are a must.ResponsibilitiesAssist in creating, scheduling, and managing content across our social media channels.Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content and engagement.Collaborate with the editorial and other teams to align social media content with daily news coverage.Develop and implement strategies to grow our social media followers and email subscribers.Engage with our audience through comments, messages, and community management.Conduct market research to identify opportunities for audience growth.Initiate partnerships with industry bodies, communities, and universities to help drive growth and brand awareness among our reader base.Provide regular reports on social media and subscriber growth metrics.Additional QualitiesEnthusiasm for business news and media.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced startup environment.Job RequirementsEducation: Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate degree.
