Location: GurgaonDesignation: Lead AnalystJob Description: A qualified lawyer who will contribute to the set-up and growth of the Legal team in Gurgaon. This role will partner closely with the Legal team at client based in Asia to support client in Asia's growing operations as well as service delivery to the real estate business in APAC.Eligibility Criteria:At least 6+ years of hands-on experience in the legal field, with a minimum of 3+ years PQE gained in a law firm or private practice.Graduate / Post Graduate degree in Law from a reputed institute (Second Upper Class honors and above).Team management experience is preferable.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Knowledge of MS Office and ability to work with legal technology solutions.Roles & Responsibilities:Undertake the transition and quality service delivery of the following scope from client Asia team to the Gurgaon team:Legal Reviews: Review engagement letters, service agreements, NDAs etc., including running of redlines as requested by the client Legal team.Review standard corporate secretarial and funding documents.Track, monitor and safekeep commercial contracts and template legal documents.Compliance: Conduct third party vendor due diligence screening using DDIQ software and summarize findings.Monitor client transactions involving material non-public information (MNPI), administer compliance controls for Asian client, including maintaining tracker for MNPI insiders and segregating access rights to MNPI.Arrange compliance declarations for Asian client employees.AML & KYC: Attend to KYC requests, including preparation of KYC letters and structure charts, and keeping track of status to ensure that all KYC requests are completed in a timely manner.Legal Operations: Maintain tracker and/or provide regular input on the key matrixes for reporting to main client.As needed, support to Asian clients on special projects and other legal operations matters.Create and/or update standard operating procedures (SOP).Future expansion: Over time, assist the Asia legal team in the identification, planning and transition of new scope to the Gurgaon legal team.Support the onboarding and training of new team members in the Legal team as well as integration with the Corporate Secretarial team in Gurgaon.Special attributes:Able to draft, review and negotiate contracts independently.Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and ethical mindset.Able to act autonomously when appropriate and know when to escalate matters.Able to engage confidently and effectively with stakeholders across seniorities, expertise and cultures.Comfortable to work both independently and as part of a team.Well organized, able to prioritize tasks and meet tight timelines.Motivated and driven to take responsibility for new projects and see them through to completion.Interested candidates can drop their resume at palak.601@wipro.com PRB
