JOB PURPOSEEncompassing literature surveyIdentifying techno - commercially attractive and non - infringing route for fluoro-specialty molecules identified for commercialization in time bound manner.Develop & standardize industrially feasible processes and also meet long term cost targets. Identify & develop new products.Prepare feasibility report, cost analysis report, monthly progress report and TDRDemonstrate/validate the lab scale process up to commercial scale.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESCompliance sustainability and integrityEnsure all activities under his/her control and supervision are compliant with all the laws of land and statutory requirement.Conduct all operation of function, ensuring social responsibility and accountabilities by following the company guideline of the sameSafety, Health & Environment Responsibilities for ManagersFormulate safety policies and proceduresConduct risk timely assessmentsUnderstand & educate the importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and health and safety procedures.PROJECT WORK: MANUFACTURE /COMMERCIALLIZATION OF ENQUIRY BASED PRODUCTS( IN-HOUSE OR AT THIRD PARTY)Doing literature search of the enquiries received from the clients & making their project proposals.Preparing costing and timelines for the enquiries from the clients.Planning of the project work as per the timeline required by clients.Identifying vendors for RM's, raising PR's and ensuring the timely arrival of RM's.Ensuring the quality of RM's, intermediates and final products as per specifications.Ensuring the timely execution of the project work and timely dispatch of the final products to the clients.Preparing the presentations and final project reports.Taking the processes developed in the R & D to the commercial scale.TROUBLE-SHOOTINGContribute in trouble-shooting & fine tuning of in-house manufacturing processes, as and when requiredADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITYContributing in additional responsibility assigned by the supervisor in the area of material procurement (preparing specifications), material storage, materials disposal, general maintenance of laboratory & equipments.LITERATURE /PATENT SEARCHDoing complete literature /patent search required in the project work using Scifinder, Reaxys, ROW-2 and other software packages.If required, visit universities or other organizations for literature / patent search.Prepare the literature/patent search reports.Educate subordinates for literature/patent search.NON-INFRINGING PROCESSESDeveloping the non-infringing processes for the enquiry based products, if it is requirement of the client.Developing non-infringing processes for new products based on building blocks available with GFL.DOCUMENTATION/SOP'SPreparation of SOP's for all the processes to be followed & equipments to be handled during the completion of the project work.Ensure the proper documentation/filing of literature, patents, experimental data (laboratory journals), internal & external communication, project reports, SOP's and so on. EXTERNAL/INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONProper communication (written /verbal /presentation) across vertical & horizontal reporting lines along with clients and vendorsPEOPLE IMPROVEMENT PLANGood project managementImprove soft skills of group members.Work on the time management, communication skills and team work within a group.Counseling and coaching of group members as and when required.Training group members for implementation of SOP's and working with SAP module.Educational Qualifications M.Sc. / Ph. D. with Organic Chemistry Experience 12 to 13 years of relevant experience. PRB
