Job Description and ResponsibilitiesMarket Development ManagerBUSINESS: CIRCOR, INDUSTRIAL VALVESLOCATION: COIMBATORE, INDIADIRECT REPORTING: HEAD SALES - INDUSTRIAL VALVESFUNCTIONAL REPORTING: NA Position SummaryAcquires, establishes, and develops relationships with prospective customers, on a specific geographic area, focusing on various product lines of Industrial Valves. Drive business development actions and work closely with business partners in assigned markets to expand the customer base and achieve business growth with defined margins.Principal ActivitiesDevelop and implement strategies to enter new customers, markets and expand existing ones by leveraging CIRCOR global product portfolioIdentify and develop commercial opportunities through a B2B approach, in the direct area of competence & through defined marketsConducting market research and analysing data to better understand customer needs and market trendsGather market intelligence and report to management from time to timeShould be able to effectively gain forward insight into customer needs and direction to develop market forecast, competitor assessments, budget and businessIdentify channel partners and develop them to long term partners to drive business growth on a regional levelEstablish relationships with key stakeholders in focussed markets and drive sales improvementBuild relationships with potential customers and partners, create marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, and monitor the competitive landscape for new opportunities.Collaborating with marketing/product management team to develop effective communication and promotional materials/channelsClose coordination with cross functional teams to drive various Market Development initiativesWillingness to travel 60~70% PAN India and global travel as necessary.RequirementsCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong analytical skill and good at building strategic relationship with key stakeholdersExcellent communication and presentation skillsGood Negotiation skillsMust have good leadership skills to drive results and must be self-motivatedUnderstands the principles of sales & marketing and market developmentShould have capability and experience in handling multiple product linesAbility to co-ordinate and drive internal sales team and channel partners.Must be good in business communication and preparation of commercial proposalsAbility to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc.Excellent interpersonal and business development skills with an ability to work with diverse teams in multiple locationsExperience in handling large customers in India Region is mustExperience in handling global customers is desirableGood people management skills, including the ability to effectively leverage people at remotely located offices and sitesStrategic think and act ability to get results through others and customer handling skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and data management abilityExperience in handling market promotional activities like Industrial Expo and Trade ShowsEducation & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor / Master's Degree in Engineering. Post Graduations in any Stream of Management will be an added advantageExperience: 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in Business Development/Marketing, preferably for Industrial Products.
