Working Location: Unit-602, 6th Floor, No.29, Prestige Meridian-1, Mahatma, Gandhi Road, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Urban, Karnataka, 560001Website: www.peigenesis.comTitle: FAE (Field Application Engineer)1. Report line: Regional Manager (South India)2. Working type: office-base work and 70% time in office, 30% time for travelling. 3. Major responsibility: to provide technical support to your manager to provide solution proposal to our customers in connector/electronics industry.Summary:The Field Application Engineer shall be technical support and trusted adviser for all PEI Genesis' products and capabilities. Shall maintain relationships with both customers and all relevant departments within PEI Genesis, India and globally as well, to meet company objectives as set for India. Will be expected to support technically OSR & prospects/customers during pre-sales, sales & post sales stages.Will be expected to promote PEI's products and capabilities to existing as potential customers. Focus would be on design win.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: • Bachelor's degree in engineering / science or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Equivalent.• more than 3 years technical sales experience in inter-connect solutions (connectors & cable assemblies) in distribution environment• Demonstrable consultative selling experience with success of closing deals into Military, Aero, Space, Oil& Gas, Electric Vehicles, and Rail Mass Transit etc. would be preferred.• Experience in successfully managing sales cycle of application focused connectors & cable assemblies, getting in at design stage shall be highly valued.Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:• Trusted technical advisor to both our customers/prospects and sales team for interconnect solutions and cable assemblies.• Develop strong relationships with customers existing as well as potential and different departments of PEI Genesis.• Prime contact for sales team for application and/or technical support for key connectors and or proprietary products• Review customer requirements and provide the best suitable, reliable & manufacturable solutions available using PEI's array of products and capabilities that will address customer problems /pain points and facilitate winning the business for PEI in profitable way as well as attractive cost of ownership for the customers.• Identify "design-in" opportunities with existing & potential customers, work along with sales team and facilitate win for PEI solutions.• Develop & grow ESG & Proprietary business in India. Review/ approve opportunities based on conformance to ESG guidelines, manufacturability and profitability.• Create, collaborate and present proposals to customers for large opportunities• Initiate design/ project reviews with both PEI team as well as customers as and when required.Additional:• Technical presentation to customers or in seminar/ conferences/ trade show as and when required• Train/Educate OSR on new products, as & when launched, ESG solutions etc.• Support in market study, demand assessment in addressable market, forecasting etc. as and when necessitated• Developing business from Strategic Global Accounts and supporting the team technically• Work with suppliers, manufacturers reps so that you stay current regarding new products, services offered by our suppliers, and so that you are top of mind, when they look to partner with a distributor.• Work with PEI BDMs, KAMs, Product Managers, and other technical and sales leaders in the company.
