We are launching a ClimateTech venture that will enable agribusiness to more effectively grow trust in emerging sustainable agronomy solutions through powering the future of on-farm demos, advisor's product recommendations. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly experienced individual to act as Founder and Chief Executive Officer to build, lead and scale this venture.Please note: This is not an employee opportunity at Diagram Ventures, but an opportunity in a new company created through our venture studio model. This company will be independent of Diagram Ventures.The opportunityGrowers need local on-farm evidence to build trust in sustainable inputs (e.g., biologicals, cover crops) and identify the most suitable applications for their unique needs as their performance is highly variable based on local conditions.Over the next decade, the sustainable crop inputs market is expected to double to over $100B. However, agribusinesses are not equipped to drive the volume and quality of on-farm trials required to support growers in this transition. Our new venture enables more efficient and effective on-farm trials through automating data integrations, managing operations across stakeholders, and synthesizing learnings.This venture has been significantly de-risked, with solid traction from leading North American crop input retailers and manufacturers. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated entrepreneur, looking to maximize their chances of success, all while retaining significant founder equity.Who we're looking forWe are assembling the dream team of entrepreneurs and technologists, and we are now looking for an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to lead the venture and guide the strategic vision.Key responsibilitiesArticulate and drive the strategic vision of the organization; execute, build upon, and scale the business' existing timeline/product roadmapBuild and lead a high caliber teamDevelop and execute the go-to-market strategyProvide overall leadership to the organization, working across all aspects and functions of the business (agronomy, product, marketing, sales, services, tech, finance, etc.).Lead the fundraising efforts with the founding team and investors.Work closely with the Investors/Board, communicating regularlyThe ideal candidate:Key ExperienceTrack-record of leading a business as a CEO, President, COO, Product Executive, or GM with P&L ownership within an organization.Previously took a business or product from 0 to 1Extensive knowledge in business development and partnership functionsExperience selling technology products into agribusinesses in the United StatesIdeally the candidate has had exposure to the VC fundraising process at early-stage startups with experience working with investors and boards of directorsOther Desirable AssetsGood foundational knowledge of agronomic science and familiarity with on-farm trialsExperience building or selling AI-enabled software solutionsWhat you'll get:Competitive compensationHealth insurance and benefitsAn opportunity to contribute and be part of something big, meaningful, and differentAbout DiagramDiagram is a venture builder that conceives and launches technology companies in the FinTech, ClimateTech, and Crypto/Web3 industries.
