In this role you will provide quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities across the engineering department to ensure compliance and monitoring of all engineering business processes, procedures, activities and project deliverables are in accordance with the Royal Commission's requirements. The Quality Lead - Engineering reports directly to the Manager of the Engineering Department (Manager, Engineering) and requires regular interaction with representatives from a variety of functional groups including other departments within Technical Affairs Division, other quality personnel, Program Quality Manager and other internal or external stakeholders as required. What You'll Be Doing:Implements the Quality system in the assigned department(s) and supports the assigned department in all quality matters.Assists Program Quality Manager in further developing the QA/QC system including preparation and updating of processes and procedures as required.Supports Program Quality Manager in Quality System leadership using the ISO 9001 standard.Supports Program Quality Manager in meeting ISO 9001 standard requirements.Ensures that Parsons and customers' quality requirements are met for products and services provided, by verifying compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements.To plan periodic inspection activities and surveillances.Manages (for the assigned department) the Corrective Action/ Preventive Action and Non-conformance tracking program development including defining requirements and future administration and support of a unified, system to include tracking of NCR's, CAR's, Audit Findings, etc.To STOP the work, in the event of identifying any activity where serious breach of Health, Safety or Environmental standard is witnessed.To conduct audits to verify that plans & procedures are being followed and documentary evidence is produced and maintained.To coordinate with the functional team and plan in advance any necessary inspections and testing activities.Work closely the functional teams to maintain surveillance of D&B Contractors.Undertake review in conjunction with the functional teams for visual verification of procedure adherence, feedback from NCR's, feedback from progress meetings and individual reporting of concerns from general workforce, Supervisors and Management.Ensure QA/QC compliance through surveillance or via QC reporting. This will entail visual, feedback and written reporting.Act decisively to curtail bad practice, waste and non - value adding activities. Explaining likely derogatory effects of bad practice, in a manner easily understandable to the individual or group involved in the issues.Engage in supply chain QC compliance On\off site as required or advised by the Project QA\QC Manager.Be prepared to attend at FATS & SATS dependent on the individual materials, tests or services being under inspection\ test as required by the department team leader.Capable of producing daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports to high standard and detail as requested. This reporting will include supplying information for the dashboard of QA\QC KPI's, metrics etc.Manage staff in their team as required.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Refer to Job Description for Education and Experience RequirementsA Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or Quality discipline or related field.Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in the field of Quality. Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQ certification (CMQ/CQE.). Active membership in a nationally recognized Quality organization.Excellent spoken and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively is a must including giving presentations.Positive, outgoing, resilient, and culturally sensitive approach to stakeholder engagement.Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
